Cookies with chocolate chip

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (0.47 l) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 °F (190.56 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over mix at this stage.

  6. Stir in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.

  7. Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.

  8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still look slightly soft, but they will firm up as they cool.

  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
