7 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon salt

75 g (3 oz) frozen petit pois
1 sprig fresh or frozen mint


1. Put the water into a small dish and stir in the salt.
2. Add the peas and the mint sprig, cover with cling film, pulling back one corner to vent and cook for 4 minutes. The peas will keep hot for a few minutes provided the cling film is not removed. When ready to serve, pull back the cling film and drain or remove with a slotted spoon.
