Chocolate marzipan cherries
Imperial8 oz marzipan
few drops of pink food colouring
16-20 glace cherries
6 oz plain chocolate

225 g marzipan
few drops of pink food colouring
16-20 glace cherries
175 g plain chocolate
Knead the marzipan lightly, then knead in the food colouring. Divide into 16-20 even-sized pieces. Roll each one into a ball, then flatten to form a round. Place a cherry in the centre of each, draw up the sides and roll gently between the palms of the hands until no joins are visible. Arrange on a tray and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Place the chocolate in a small bowl and MICROWAVE ON HIGH for 2-3 minutes until melted but still holding its shape. Dip the cherry balls, one by one, into the chocolate to coat thoroughly.
Leave to set before serving.
